NOTES:
My wife and I were at Oak Grove Campsite in Holland this past weekend. Friday night's storm was truly a stunner. Wind gusts of 70+ mph, 8" of rain in a matter of a few hours, severe thunder and lightning. Oak Grove was at the epicenter at the storm rushed ashore up Lake Macatawa.
A lightening strike on a tree by the site right next to us split a huge tree in half. Luckily its shattered half became wedged in the tree between our Egg and the damaged tree. The pics show how close it all was. Sadly, one large RV was split in two by a falling tree and the family inside, with four young children, had to escape. The good news there were no injuries. Much damage to the sites and many RVs, but our Egg was secure. Not a single drop of water made its way inside.
The fun of camping!
